Safely Keyholding Practices for Male Chastity

male-chastity

My wife and I have been practicing male chastity for several years and we’ve tried many variations for keyholding, always with an emphasis on safety, but also keeping things as secure as possible. There’s a lot of writing online about keyholders completely controlling access to keys, or of the partner in chastity having absolutely no access to any key. For the purpose of safety, this could lay the groundwork for a potential disaster in the event of a medical emergency or other event which interferes with the chaste male’s ability to access their key in an emergency. My wife and I have found some middle ground here which I’ll share with you in this post.

The Purpose of Male Chastity

First of all, it’s important to understand that wearing a chastity cage is more symbolic than anything else. A male locked in chastity is certainly able to orgasm, though it might require some creativity. For example, I’ve had orgasms while being locked in chastity simply from rimming my wife. I’ve also had ruined orgasms from using our remote controlled vibrating butt plug. When I’m wearing a chastity cage, it’s symbolic of my desire and willingness to place my wife’s sexual pleasure and gratification above my own. We could achieve this without any cage at all, but wearing it 24/7 is a symbol of my commitment. My wife likes when I’m wearing my cage because it’s also a reminder that she owns my cock and not me. For us, enforcing strict lack of access to the keys is unnecessary. However, it’s helpful to enforce some boundaries which interfere with my ability to access the key easily.

Using a Sealed Envelope

This is probably the simplest safeguard. With this method, the keyholder can hold the main key, but the chaste male can keep a spare on them in a sealed envelope. I’d suggest having the keyholder sign the sealed part of the envelope so that it’s obvious if it’s been opened. This way, the chaste male will have access to an emergency key, but will also be held accountable to his partner to ensure that he doesn’t unlock himself for anything other than an emergency.

Keeping an Emergency Key in an Inconvenient Location

This option is actually quite convenient as it doesn’t require any extra items or apparatus. The emergency key is simply held someplace which is inconvenient to access, like inside of a small pouch tucked away in a backpack or drawer. It creates the sense of being without access to the key, but the inconvenience of how to access the emergency key is enough of a deterrent to prevent the chaste male from making the effort.

Storing the Emergency Key in a Locked Portable Container

This is our preferred method. I will often keep the emergency key inside of a small pouch which is locked with a small padlock with my wife holding the key to the padlock. This prevents me from accessing the emergency key as I will need to ask her for the padlock key to be able to access the emergency key in the pouch. However, in a true emergency in which she’s unavailable, I can also use scissors or a knife to rip apart the travel pouch to access the emergency key. This creates a suitable enough deterrent and also makes it clear that my wife truly controls the key, the chastity cage, and my cock.

Summary

No matter how strong a fantasy you have about being locked in chastity and throwing away the key, that’s never a good idea. You should always have a safe and reliable backup plan providing for access to a key in an emergency. The actual practice of male chastity is more mental than physical, and the chastity cage is more of a deterrent, and is largely symbolic. It’s much better to be safe than to risk being unable to remove your chastity cage in a true emergency.
