I easily found two varieties on Amazon, both of which I used. The candle configuration revolved around a package of white lavender candles which I was able to purchase for $19.98 at the time of purchase. These candles felt like decent quality, smelled great, and looked beautiful. I also used several aromatherapy candles from a package of eight that I purchased for $12.99 at the time of purchase. These candles came in beautiful containers that looked great when spread throughout the room. They smelled relaxing and set the mood beautifully.
Massage Oil
I did a lot of research on massage oil and eventually settled on this lavender massage oil, which I purchased for $12.95 in an 8oz bottle. The massage oil was fantastic. It smelled great, worked fantastic as a massage oil, and the 8oz bottle was plenty for our spa day. I used it quite liberally and still have enough left over for several more spa days.
This massage oil does come with a major drawback. The Amazon reviews are overwhelmingly positive, but a few reviewers commented on how the bottle leaked during shipping, and my shipment was no exception. A tiny bit did leak out, but about 95% of the oil was still intact when I removed it from the packaging. It was just a bit messy to clean up. Also, I had a very hard time removing the piece inside of the bottle which frees up the flow of massage oil to allow it to come out of the bottle. Even with a somewhat clumsy design, the actual massage oil itself worked great and for the price, is hard to beat. I’d still purchase it again.
Gua Sha & Jade Roller
This one was a stretch, but it was a huge hit. I purchased a Gua Sha & Jade Roller, also on Amazon and for $11.75 at the time of writing this. I only used the Gua Sha, but my wife loved it. I used it to massage her face, especially the areas where she might hold a lot of tension. The hard stone of the jade was extremely effective in releasing her tension and helped her to relax tremendously.
All In One Spa Kit
I didn’t expect the Epielle All In One Kit to be such a hit, but it was fantastic, my wife loved it, and for $11.00, it’s a great value. This kit comes with an assortment of spa items, though we only had a chance to use two of them. My wife absolutely loved the hydrating socks. She said they felt strange when I first put them on her, but within a minute or two she could feel them working. I’m not exactly sure what she felt or why she liked it, but I know that they felt amazing on her feet and helped her to relax tremendously. The relaxing mask was also a favorite. She loved how it made her face feel and it made her relax a lot. We’re looking forward to trying out the other items in the package.
Eye Mask
Once we were done with the socks and the relaxing mask, I removed the mask and handed her one of the eye masks from the 16-Pack of Eye Masks we had. This felt like a warm steam bath over her eyes and made her relax instantly. She absolutely loved this product. At $16.99 less a 10% off coupon, this was a great value, and I’m certain that we’ll use the rest of these.
After the Massage
This is where the real fun began to happen.
